Solar Shading Case Studies
Bruntwood, Leeds

Project

Bruntwood a leading North of England commercial property firm, recently undertook a £2.3m refurbishment at their 14 King Street, Leeds 37,000 sq ft, grade A office space development.

With a variety of new and potential tenants looking to move into the building there was a requirement that the office space would be fit for use as an office environment so solar shading was a major requirement.

From the Landlord's perspective the solar shading needed to be modern and effective and look uniform in appearance from the outside. It also needed to be something that would appeal to a variety of tenants as they moved into their new offices over a period of time.

Solution

Linea 312 system roller blinds throughout.

The blinds were installed outside the minimal window recess flush with the suspended ceiling. For aesthetics the aluminium head box for the blind was powder coated white to blend in with the internal décor.

Fabric used throughout was Lineascreen enabling the aesthetics of the exterior of the building to be uniform in colour whilst giving a choice of colours for the blind internally.

Linea systems’ 5 to 10 year warranty gave Bruntwood the peace of mind of a long term maintenance free operation.
